This is our second stay at the property and it was even better than the first. For starters, we booked a one-bedroom suite and got a two-bedroom one that was very comfortable. The property is easy to find and while the reservations included no breakfast the reception hall actually had free coffee and, in the morning, freshly baked donuts from the Geddes bakery. The staff was friendly and the value for the money was excellent.

The hotel was easy to find and the check-in experience was very positive. Our original reservation was apparently cancelled and replaced with a room that was less than ideal but the receptionist was very attentive and found a suitable replacement. She also provided the extra bedding we needed for the living room couch and gave us a good hint on where to find a missing coffee pot decanter (in the dishwasher).

The Candlewood is a great option for anyone visiting Syracuse University. While out by Carrier Circle, it’s an excellent value and very clean and only takes about 10 minutes to drive to campus. They don’t offer a lot of extras but the price more than makes up for it.
